The Atwood Yacht Club is a Private Club with Membership by invitation of a Sponsoring Member and approval by the Board of Trustees. We offer multiple Membership levels to meet your lifestyle requirements.
Active Membership - This Membership may be extended to applicants 18 years of age and older upon election and by paying the initiation fees and dues as required. Active Membership offers full Club privileges including voting, dock rental, boating event participation, etc.
Social Membership - This Membership may be extended to applicants who are 18 years of age and older upon election and by paying the initiation fees and dues as required. This Membership is designed to provide an introduction to Membership advantages.
Non-Resident Membership - Active Members in good standing may apply for Non-Resident Membership when they no longer reside close to the Club and plan to use the Club only occasionally. Non-Resident Memberships must be approved annually by the Board. They are not granted to persons who own or lease property or docks in Carroll, Stark, Columbiana, Jefferson, Harrison or Tuscarawas Counties.
Senior Membership - This Membership may be extended to Active Members in good standing who become 65 years of age and have been an Active Member for at least 15 years. Active Members who apply for Senior Membership may be required to sponsor a new, replacement Active Member.
Business Membership - This Membership may be extended to a business upon election and by paying the initiation fees and dues as required. This Membership is designed to cover five applicants (and their immediate families) from a business, with a one-time initiation fee and a package price for annual dues. Businesses may change employees once each year on January 1, and up to three employees once each during the calendar year. A Business Membership also allows the Business certain privileges including a revolving account, facilities rental, etc. which are detailed in the AYC Constitution.
Honorary Membership - The Members of the Atwood Yacht Club believe that some persons are deserving of special honor for their outstanding and distinguished service to the Club, the community at large, the State of Ohio, and/or the United States of America. In the interest of recognizing this service, the Club may desire to offer an Honorary Membership. No person shall become an Honorary Member unless he or she has first been unanimously recommended and elected by the Board of Trustees. Honorary Members shall pay no annual membership fees or any other fee assessment other than charges for Club Service. Honorary Members shall have no voting rights unless they were an Active Member immediately prior to their election to Honorary Membership.
